Wow, 2007 is surely ending with a bang for this young website. Since starting in October, this site has steadily increased in daily visitors through the use of social bookmarking programs such as Entrecard, Reddit and StumbleUpon. This month, though I’ve slowed down in post count recently, is ending with a big bang.
Firstly, this site will probably not see many new posts until January 7th because…I’m going on a cruise! Depending on the availability of Internet access wherever we are, I may post once or twice during the cruise giving you updates, but I’m really looking forward to this vacation as a time to relax and recharge my batteries for the year ahead that will start once again at a roaring pace once we get back home. School, work, blogs, and other ventures will be in full swing so I hope to be tanned and charged for the new year.
Secondly, I have been selected to write guest posts for Tyler Cruz and his blog, www.tylercruz.com! I am honored to be able to share my views with Tyler’s visitors and am working on my first post for his website. I think that my post will be a success and have been putting in a lot of thinking and hope that this post will be a good start to a long working relationship between Tyler and me.
With these two things, I wish you all a fantastic end to 2007 and hope that you all have had a relaxing Christmas break.
Happy new year!
Now that school is over I have had a few spare moments to think about the the look and feel of this website. Although I based the design on what other bloggers were doing about 2 months ago, I know that I could do better. I’ve never been one to really think inside the box too much so I’ve decided to let my creative juices flow. Being that I’m quite a terrible artist, I’ve decided to stick to pure CSS for the layout and use a couple of borrowed colors and gradients for the graphics.
I’m still working on the details and figuring out exactly how I want everything to look and where I want everything to be, but I think it’s coming along nicely. I’ll have this done eventually. I’m pretty much done with the design aspect of the site and any changes from here on out will be easy to make. My next step is to convert my working and VALID HTML (and CSS) into a Wordpress theme. This is still a little new to me but I’ve done it 3 or 4 times now so it should only take a few hours.

Last week I wrote about Entrecard, a new social website that I joined in order to increase traffic to this website. Since joining Entrecard, I must say that I am impressed with its ability to drive traffic to websites. I have seen the this site’s traffic jump up drastically since I joined.
I think that Entrecard can do the same for you, and that’s why I am starting the very first contest for this website!
Up for grabs will be at least 100 credits to Entrecard so that you can advertise your site on several other websites. Advertising starts at just 2 credits, so with 100 credits you can put your site on as many as 50 websites!
Here are the rules:
- Sign up to my RSS Feed through the email signup form at the top of the page.
- Validate your subscription by following FeedBurner’s instructions
- Leave a comment on this post saying that you signed up using the same email that you signed up for the feed.
BONUS CONTEST
If you want to win 500 or more credits to Entrecard, post a link to this post on your blog and make sure to have the anchor text “Make Money Online” pointing to this website.
A winner will be drawn at random by the end of next week for both contests and the winners will be mentioned on my front page with a link to your own site!
Are you a good writer? Are you looking for a way to promote your business/SEO/SEM/money making blog/technology/food/writing blog? Are you a nice individual? Can you come up with an interesting take on the subject matter of this blog?
If you answered “yes” to one or more of these questions, then you’ve come to the right place! I’m looking for a few guest bloggers to cover for me at the end of the year while I go on vacation. Sure, I could write this blog from wherever I am but I would rather let you, my loyal readers and bloggers, take a stab at blogging at Learn How 2 Earn.
Being a guest blogger is really a great way to spread your wings. You can talk about things that you would not have otherwise have talked about in your blog and you can come away from this experience with a new friend and more visits! Another reason that being a guest poster helps you out is that you get some blog juice going your way and you can never have too much blog juice.
So, What’s in it for me? I get to have a guest poster on my blog!
What’s in it for you? Fame, of course! This blog is going to be hot…get in on the ground floor and put your name on a blog that can pay you back in dividends in the form of backlinks! Additionally, you get the chance to write about what you love and share it with the readers of this blog. You can contribute your two cents and everyone will read it. C’mon, it’ll be good for ya!

October was a pretty exciting month for me; with the launch of this site and learning a few different tricks, I’ve been able to make some progress in my quest for knowledge. This month I learned a few things about website promotion and saw the number of RSS readers jump up and down a bit. By the end of the year I would like to have 100 RSS readers. At the current rate of growth, this is a realistic goal but not an easy one. I can do it but need your help! Tell your friends about this site and keep checking in because later this month I will be doing some kind of a contest! Keep your eyes peeled and tell your friends! The contest, of course, is a strategy to promote the site because free is always good.
So, without further ado I present you my earnings for October 2007.
Affiliate Sales: $202.17
Total Revenue: $202.17
I naturally wanted to make more money in October than I did in September, but it looks like I just missed my mark.
This month I will be trying out a few different strategies to promote this blog and spending a little money to promote my other sites. I’m still no match for John Chow (wow, that guy is good) but watch out John Chow! I’m comin’ for ya!
